Monomial:

Monomial is the one of the type of the polynomial but the number of terms in the polynomial is only one.  Here the word ‘Mono’ represents the meaning of ‘Single’. For example-9a is the monomial because the number of terms in the polynomial is equal to one.

Binomial:

Binomial is the one of the type of the polynomial but the number of terms in the polynomial is only two.  Here the word ‘Bi’ represents the meaning of ‘Double’. Trinomial:

Trinomial is the one of the type of the polynomial but the number of terms in the polynomial is only three.  Here the word ‘Tri’ represents the meaning of ‘Triple’. For example u2-5u+9 are the trinomial because the number of terms in the polynomial is equal to three.

Polynomial:

A Polynomial which has more than three terms is simply known as a polynomial.

Solution:

1.9k2+k-5

The number of terms in the polynomial is three.  So it is called as Trinomial.

2.7y-10

The number of terms in the polynomial is two.  So it is called as Binomial.

3.71w

The number of terms in the polynomial is only one.  So it is called as Monomial.

4.8j3+7j2-5j+6

The number of terms in the polynomial is four.  So it is simply called as Polynomial.
